This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to align with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Information you give us. When you join the interest list or submit an application, we collect the details you enter, which may include your name, email address, phone number, city, occupation or business, partner details if you choose to include them, and anything else you write in a free-text field.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers may record technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and the pages you view. This is used in aggregate to understand traffic and keep the site secure.

To reply to you, review your application, and tell you when applications or events open. To send occasional email updates about the club, which you consented to when you submitted your address. To operate, secure and improve the website. To meet legal and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers for their own marketing.

We use third-party providers to run the club and this website, including a customer relationship and email platform (HighLevel) which stores your contact record, hosts our application form and live chat widget, and sends our emails, a website hosting provider, and analytics tooling. These providers process your information on our instructions and may store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it can be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

Our site includes a chat widget provided by HighLevel. If you start a conversation, the messages you send, along with any name, email or phone number you provide, are stored in our CRM so we can reply and follow up. Please do not send sensitive personal information through chat.

You receive email from us because you asked to be kept informed. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link and our mailing address. You can withdraw consent at any time by using that link or emailing hello@suburbansocialclub.com, and we will stop sending marketing email promptly.

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function and to measure aggregate traffic. Embedded forms and the chat widget provided by our CRM may set their own cookies to remember your progress or conversation. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

We keep interest-list and application records for as long as we have an active relationship with you, and afterwards only as long as needed for legitimate business or legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your record at any time.

We use reputable providers, restrict access to member data to the people who need it, and rely on encrypted connections for data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to marketing. Write to hello@suburbansocialclub.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

This website and the club are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their province.

We may update this policy as the club grows. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Material changes will be communicated by email where we have your address.
