A Letter From the Founders
For a long time, we were so focused on building our businesses and building the life we wanted that we didn't realize how much we had neglected something just as important: the people around us.
We spent a big part of our 20s betting on ourselves. We worked a lot. We said no to a lot of nights out, weekends away, and the kind of social life most people naturally build during those years. And while we're incredibly grateful for what that sacrifice helped us create, there came a point where we looked at each other and realized we had built companies, teams, networks, and opportunities, but we hadn't really built our circle.
We wanted more people in our lives who understood what it feels like to be ambitious, to take risks, to care deeply about health, relationships, business, style, travel, and building a life that feels exciting and intentional.
We also kept noticing something else.
So many of the communities, events, and rooms we wanted to be part of seemed to exist somewhere else. Downtown Toronto. New York. Miami. Somewhere an hour away. Somewhere you had to travel to.
But we knew there were incredible people right here.
Founders. Executives. Creators. Investors. Athletes. Couples. People leaving careers to bet on themselves. People quietly building amazing things in Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton, and the communities around us.
We just didn't know where to find each other.
So we decided to create the thing we wished already existed.
Suburban Social Club is our attempt to build that room.
A place where you can meet someone over dinner and end up becoming close friends. Where a round of golf turns into a business idea. Where couples find other couples they genuinely connect with. Where people celebrate big goals instead of making them feel unrealistic. Where you can talk about business one minute and travel, health, design, family, or absolutely nothing productive the next.
We don't want this to feel like networking.
We want it to feel like belonging.
We want to create the kind of community where, years from now, people can point to friendships, businesses, trips, partnerships, memories, and entire chapters of their lives that started because they walked into one of these rooms.
We're building this for ourselves too.
That's probably the most important part.
We want these friendships. We want these experiences. We want to meet people who challenge us, inspire us, make us laugh, and make our world feel bigger.
And if you've ever felt like the people you're looking for must be somewhere else, maybe they're closer than you think.
We're excited to find out.
